Rebates and how to reduce your cost
Medicare rebates (for therapy sessions)
What this means for you
For example, a $250 session with a registered psychologist, less the current Medicare rebate of about $101, brings your out-of-pocket cost down to roughly $148 per session. Clinical psychologists attract a higher rebate again.
Medicare rebate amounts are set by the Australian Government and updated each year, so please confirm the current figure with us or Medicare when you book.
Please note: assessments and Medicare
Comprehensive assessments, such as ADHD, autism and cognitive assessments, are generally not covered by Medicare and are a private cost. If you have questions about funding an assessment, including NDIS options, please get in touch and we’ll talk you through it.
