Melbourne Psychologist, Clinical Neuropsychologist – Dr. Zhi Xiang On (On) is a clinical psychologist who places strong emphasis on creating a collaborative and safe therapeutic relationship, guided by values, to address each client’s unique concerns. He has received specialised training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) for both children and adults. As an LGBTQI-friendly practitioner, On is passionate about helping individuals understand their strengths and uniqueness, supporting them on their journey to lifelong well-being.
In his role as a forensic psychologist, On conducts formal forensic risk assessments, report writing, and intervention services for general violence, sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and victims of crime (VOCAT reports). He provides offence-specific treatment that meets the individual needs of each client.
As a clinical neuropsychologist, On also serves as an Independent Medical Examiner (IME) and conducts Joint Medical Examinations (JME) for the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).
On offers supervision and secondary consultations to fellow clinicians, drawing on his experience in teaching tertiary-level psychology and publishing research in peer-reviewed journals. He has been invited to present at both national and international conferences on topics such as autism and ADHD assessment, family violence, and psychological well-being.
