Sunny Huang is a bilingual LGBTQIA+ friendly provisional psychologist completing her final placement as part of the Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology). She is passionate about helping people improve their wellbeing, overcome challenges, and live rich and meaningful lives aligned with their values.
Sunny has experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, adjustment difficulties, emotional distress, and life transitions. She also has experience and particular interest in supporting people with chronic pain, sleep-related concerns, and health-related psychological challenges. Sunny is dedicated to providing culturally responsive care and supporting individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
Sunny adopts a warm and collaborative strengths-based person-centred approach to therapy. She strives to create a supportive and inclusive environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Her work is informed by evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, which she tailors to each client’s individual goals and needs.
